server starts but unable to play

i want to make a new server for tribes but my server wont connect to the tribes next what ever and every time it says check my ip or something can you help me

    or anyone i try to host host a server but its says your server could not be contacted. and check your ip / port configuration

    You need to go into your router and forward a port.

    i start my server but it isn't seen i can join it by pushing ` and join game etc how can i make it so people can see it

    ps i am trying to run a metallic server

    I suggest that you setup your Port Fowarding on your router. Access you router Via login. If you have never setup your router the user name will be ( admin ) and you password will be ( password ) NoW setup port fowarding as follows:

    This is an example only: ( Except for the ports )

    Server Name: My server
    Start Port MUST BE: 28000
    End Port MUST BE: 28000
    IP: will be you local IP address IE: 10.0.0.1

    Thats it and it will work for sure
