advertising on maps to raise cash for prizes on ladders?

Just wondering how you guys feel about raising cash for prizes, this would mean getting more players interested in t2.

    This is implausible. No company would pay money for advertisments on a map, and the maps in question would be client side because of the custom graphics. Furthermore as we are using Tribes 2 to aquire profit for ourselves through reverse engineering or inserting advertisements, I don't think we'd stay in the legal white.

    You could always put the ad on the flag, anyway the idea was introduced by a friend, who works in the advertising industry . The money raised would not be for profit, tax implications etc but to pay for prizes.

    There is no support for dynamically loaded image or sound resources by the server like that. The most you could do is formatted text.
