Mumble's nice but Goon's and several others already have VOIP servers up. We don't need to keep splitting the community. :'(
-
Why do we need it when it's already up all over this site? I think IGN's just trying to steal away some thunder from here.
-
I have to wait to get access to talk :-\ Why doesn't everyone just use Goon's Vent?
-
One thing that may be an issue is having the wrong resolution size. It never mattered for me, but for my brother it would do the same thing yours is doing. You would start the game and it would Unhandled Exception before even opening. Go into your C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\base\prefs folder and find the file titled…

and I liked it

All you can really do for fun is build objects. That's it. booooooooooooring. That's what GMod is for.
-
Meh. Only thing you can do online is build objects with other people. Monsters don't spawn, and even if they did you're all invincible. This game is a cool "wow" game. It lasts for about an hour, then you realize there's nothing different to do.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!! I like the devil screams
-
What...
-
Yes. Any other way and you're doing it wrong.
-
Sorry, but the only way to play Tribes 2 is CTF
-
Meh, I just bought Garry's Mod yesterday for steam. It's fricking amazing! You can build stuff like in Minecraft but times 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
-
I know, but doing all that stuff hogs your Internet. So while they game they brag how they're downloading a movie at the same time.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Like that'll do much. Most people brag about how 1337 they are and while they game they're downloading pr0n, watching youtube vids of their favorite bands, leeching/seeding torrents, instant messaging, and Skyping.
-
But that's not free. Anyone wanna split? It's $10, so the more people who share the less it costs.
-
Yeah if your crosshairs work in other servers than it's that specific server's mod.
-
It seems the only thing you can do in classic is build and destroy blocks. It kept me entertained for 5 minutes. Unless there's something I'm missing...
-
ZOMG This thread just will not DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For great justice

You don't need 8 GB of stuff running at once. If you do you're wasting your CPU anyway. 1.2 MP may be OK. What matters the most is the actual image sensor itself and the lens. Your 1080P television is 1920x1080, which is 2 megapixels. As cameras get better they get more MP's, have better lenses and better image sensors.…

Also, here are some benchmarks. Your new CPU http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+2.53GHz it got 321 Your old CPU http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+420+%40+1.60GHz it got 464 464 is better than 321 There's so many things you have to take into consideration on a PC. Bigger numbers does…

What operating system are you using? Here is some specs from Intel's site. Processor speed is not the only thing that matters. Your first computer had an Intel® Celeron® Processor 420, which launched in Q2 2007. Your "newer" one has Intel® Celeron® D Processor 326, which launched in Q2 2004. Here is a paragraph I took from…

I agree. I played WoW on my laptop fine, then one day it was horrible and kept giving me the blue screen. I updated the graphics drivers and it worked fine after that. Also, what operating system do you have? Cuz something like Vista with only 1.5 GB could be the issue.
-
Well, in order to make use of those extra cores (I assume your 2.5 one has multiple cores) the game has to be programmed with multiple cores in mind. When Tribes 2 was created, there were no widely available multi core processors, so it only uses one processor. Correct me if I am wrong.
-
Yeah, but you can laugh at all the laptop users.
-
I've had the problem on one of my other machines. Play in Windowed mode to fix it. Also, make sure your game resolution is the same as your desktop background. That seemed to help me.
-
Save yourself some money. There's a ton of servers up right now and non are populated. There are only about 5 that ever have people playing. We don't need more servers. :-X
-
looks cool, but I won't play unless it's free.

Every laptop should also have VGA output. Every monitor has VGA, so you could hook them up that way. And some monitors also have HDMI so you wouldn't even need to get an HDMI to DVI adapter if you got the right one.
