I was visiting Nashville this weekend and arrived at a hotel just a couple blocks away an hour after it happened. As we were checking in the clerk said "a football player was just shot to death around the corner from here!" That was a little discomforting (we thought he meant in broad daylight on the sidewalk as well).
Sad news.
PS - Don't stay at the Doubletree in downtown Nashville. It is ass.
In my opinion he was in the top 5 at least. How many quarterbacks now days play with broken wrists, cracked ribs, sprained knees, etc. None. There more worried about there money than the love of the game. Only one I can think of that plays is Brett Favre. Football needs to go back to its roots.
