I agree. Not that it matters, but, very few times have i seen someone do something with a cheat that someone else couldn't do without one... short of full auto mortar spamming using animation exploit.

A motion has been made. I second that motion.

A single player mission is a great idea, if it gradually gets more and more difficult noobs could use it as a training guide. Perhaps Thyth wouldn't mind including it with the patch download as well. You may be onto something excellent...

I have found that it is the way in which the advice is given that decides whether it is rejected or not...

nice, not only that but, if they are using a shield pack, they will be vulnerable and take damage when you nade/disc them : )

I'll take this opportunity to remind you that Bob used his vampire skills to defeat Gilmore on the green.

Great Idea AnarchyAo. To the beginners: stick with it, the skills will come :)

Hell, i used to play the game on a pentium II 450 with a nvidia tnt2 and it ran fine. I don't think the problem you're running into has anything to do with video or processor.

Hahaha! that's awesome! where can I get the pee script?
-
wow, sweet man! thanks, they have some great routes!

During the tribesnext development period, the developers offered several release dates, but didn't really deliver on schedule. Now the devs don't give release dates at all, for any features. I can't blame them though, they are doing it on their free time.

How bout where we can find the rules for the forums? That might be helpful, last I heard there weren't any. If there are now, maybe we could have a topic specifically for rules.
-
If someone could go over the basics so inexperienced players could become familiar with the differences between pub play and comp play, that would be helpful as well...

I'm exactly in agreement with DUN_DUNNA'S point of view here. I've been up for competition from the beginning but certain members(the egotistical bunch refered to in DUN_DUNNA'S post) shot down the idea for various reasons, claiming that they were the experts on everything. They said - let's wait til there are more…

We should have tribes going right now, but everyone is waiting for the in-game browser and t-mail to be completed.
-
Good point WiiMote.

Well Kryand, let's see, I have had dozens of conversations with tribes players of varied experience levels and have found that only very few will insult a member holding a different opinion than their own. As proof I would like you to consider this forum. If you review the various topics and posts you will find that less…

I second that motion, and I am digging that video idea.

I'm not naive. I'm actually quite formulaic. There is a reason I respond the way I do on message boards and it benefits players like yourself the most. You have quite a bit of technical skill. This is your strong point. Other members may respect you for that. Your weak point is your poor attitude. We have MANY new players…

Right on bro, I have always enjoyed Thin Ice. Also, I'm impressed by the way you have corrected yourself and admitted you were wrong. It takes a man to admit when they're wrong. Let us know what you come up with as far as your favorite maps! I'm excited to hear what you have to say.
-
This would be so easy for everyone if we could adopt a playing style that benefits everyone. I agree with you that sitting on the vehicle pad acting like noob and spamming the team chat with requests for tail gunners or pilots or whatever is totally inconsiderate. What I disagree with is lancing them when they are doing…

Wrong. The game is not the problem. The few MOD ZEALOTS like yourself that post obnoxiously opinionated derogatory statements toward other players are the problem. The other 99% of us who accept the various game types, mods and playing styles can't stand people like you. Luckily you don't have to be this rude forever. You…

I agree, only those who are skilled in just one role usually only want to play one type of map. Let's keep the game-play fresh and cycle through a large number of maps with varying map types.
-
Those who sit there waiting(with the exception being at the beginning of the round) are noobs. Get something done. There is some turret somewhere that needs repaired, do something productive until the vpad is free.
-
This is total bull shit, same-team vehicle lancing is not typical of experienced players. Usually, I just jump in the vehicle and move it myself so I can get out what I need to get out and move on. Turn on your own team and you will inevitably suffer the consequences. Make up your own rules and the server admin will remind…

Goons is a good place to get a feel for the epic scale of Tribes2. I would say just jump right in! I play on goon haven, ## { dggs } fast v2, and branzone. They are all very good. I believe they also have a server for those just getting started, if you log in, someone will shortly join you and give you some tips.

You may also see rapists/rapers/base rapers(not to be confused with face rapers : ). They destroy the enemy base assets located within the base. Generators, inv stations, deployables and such.
