Holy crap you ditched a 9800 for a mx? That is like going from a 2010 ss camaro to a 92 ford fiesta. I would put the 9800 back in, crank in 16x anisotropic filtering and 2x antialiasing and rampage the servers. I would also run no cat driver newer than 5.11.

Ok try playing full screen, windowed mode often has issues. Also, make sure you have no anisotropic filtering or antialiasing enabled in your driver control panel to start with. There are dso files in most every folder inside the base folder, delete them before you try again. The game compiles dso files from scripts found…

I would only keep data and not apps on a usb drive. Not that it won't work but that USB really stands for Unpredictable Serial Bus and usb is not known for low latency, low latency being what fps games are all about.

HI! ok what does hosting a server on a master mean? you have dedicated servers that host a game, you have listen servers (wich means you play and host on the same machine) and you have master servers master servers tell each client what game servers are available to play on

in xp start the game, and then get into task manager/processes/tribes2 then right click on t2, select affinity, uncheck one cpu have u deleted all dso files?

One thing to try is in your vid card driver control panel make sure antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are disabled. Try that and get back to us.

Hi Delete all .dso files you find, T2 will remake them when the game starts, but hopefully this time they will not cause ues.
