The only thing on that list that wasn't a feature of the X-Box itself is the vehicles, and they really aren't that big of a deal.

Halo only got popular because it was one of the first online console games, and the first online console FPS - and no I am not counting any of the old systems with the stupid online attachments that no one used. Not to mention it was a launch title for the premiere Microsoft game console. Then it stayed popular because it…

It's probably terrible, just like every past iteration of Halo.
-
Base is very slow-paced, skiing doesn't work properly, and the gameplay is very unbalanced in favor of defense - as in, the offense has to work ridiculous hard for every cap, and all the defense has to do to stop it is have one guy stand near the flag with an ELF gun. Or someone standing anywhere with a laser rifle. Pretty…

Yeah really, Classic wasn't just a mod, it was released as part of the game in an official patch. The T2 devs knew the designers of Classic did a much better job tweaking the game than they did.
-
Could you have a modular frequency based on the number of players?
-
Don't forget to check visibility from several meters behind the player (third person view).
-
So does it work with pirated ET:QW or what?
-
Most of the guys they've recently hired are guys who have worked on popular RTS games in the past. I guess it's possible they might make a Tribes RTS or something, but an actual Tribes game from GG is pretty much a fantasy.
-
Evidence seems to indicate that GG's new game has absolutely nothing to do with Tribes.
-
Awareness is a giant aspect of being a good player in pretty much every mod of Tribes 2. Perma-IFFs basically gives you infinite awareness. You still have to have the competence to know what to do with all that information, but for any remotely experienced player, it's a gigantic boost in their capabilities. Granted, in an…

Just as predicted, a backwoods retard comes into the thread and tries to draw a parallel using my statement. I bet he worked real hard on that one too, LOL. Why don't you reread this thread a few times and see if you can find what you missed?
-
A person cheats occasionally, but if they are actually using cheats to their advantage, they are detected and dealt with quickly enough. There's not much in the way of "prevention" yet, but it's not too hard to catch people cheating.
-
Hmm, let's check page 1. I come into this thread trying to understand the problem and help the OP get past it. Then you come into the thread and start talking shit. As usual. You were saying? It's a wonder that you haven't been banned yet.

Ignore Vegeta, he plays Renegades. In other words, he doesn't even like Tribes 2 enough to play a mod that's anything remotely like the original gameplay, and he is bitching at other people for ruining it.
-
Comparing/contrasting yourself with me and implying that we have some sort of "rivalry" beyond you being a stupid newb tard and me being someone who dominates stupid newb tards is insulting.
-
More like you're an ant and I'm an anteater.
-
To the first part, ironically, the opposite is true. The people being jerks are doing it solely to get a reaction out of you. Responding in any way encourages them. Ignoring them will make them give up eventually. Muting them is the best option. I almost never notice the in-game chat when I'm playing anyway - I imagine…
-
You and idiots like you are not "everyone", sorry.
-
See, I bet we'll have at least 14 more different people post before another person makes a post like this. 1 in 20.
-
I don't know what you are talking about. Each time I play I count maybe one person being rowdy for the whole span of time that I am on the server. You are definitely blowing that "1 in 3 aren't jerks" figure way out of proportion. It's more like 1 in 20 is a jerk, 1 in 10 is actively being nice, and everyone else is…
-
I did even know there were any other dogfight T2 mods.
-
It's your money. I would never pay for a T2 server from a hosting company, let alone one that's always empty.
-
You can just make a zip file and change the .zip extension to .vl2
-
Calm down there little buddy. I didn't even flame you. I just pointed out the fact that all of your complaints are invalid, and as such, there is not really anything we can do for you. You believe they are valid, and no matter what anyone says you are not going to change your mind. Once again, in short, you are just a…

Interpolate was never a cheat. You need to read up and educate yourself on what it actually does. No fog is easy to catch, and the few people using it are dealt with pretty quickly. Double-packing is a myth and the actual glitch it is based on does not do anything even remotely useful. In short, you are just a whiner. Good…

This. If CryEngine had an affordable license or a neutered version like UDK is for UE3, we'd definitely try it. Until then, it's not a possibility. We are only interested in making a stand-alone game, not a mod. UDK isn't our only choice, but it's the main one for now.
-
MaDAssassin.

The total cost of our entire project and upkeep of the game from start to finish on UDK is probably less than a single CryEngine license.
