• I have. I think it has to do with the game code suddenly predicting where the disc is supposed to be, giving it the appearance of magically turning to the left or right. The trail gives it away, if it wasn't for the trail curving behind it you wouldn't notice it.

• Tribes 2's master server was taken down a while back by Sierra. You can start playing the game again by downloading the aforementioned Tribesnext patch and making an account.

• The red and blue is not by design. Something is lacking in the AVI playback, its probably some kind of filter that the T2 engine uses or they added some kind of proprietary crap to the AVI codec. Next time I talk to Gareth von Kallenbach I'll ask him if he knows what they did to it.

• If you ever play Interstate 76(Mechwarrior 2 engine) on semi modern hardware, you'll see that it does this also. It has to do with the fact that the developers of these old engines never intended for the viewable distance to exceed the hardware draw distance . Which happens when you increase the viewable distance\ cut back…
