Denial is a river in Egypt. Everyone's got a boat.

Actually I think the commentary makes it better, needs a second guy for color though. Maybe a quick insert from someone on the field ("well i'm down here on the inferno side talking with the HoF").

Single player wasn't bad, was about eight hours for me on the first run but second run could obviously pare that down a lot. The animations were a little jittery at times, lip syncing could have improved, overall wasn't bad. Victoria pissed me off (bitchy little princess, waaaa), the other characters got a healthy amount…

And you can't start one of these servers yourself?

In before someone blames community drama. Full Disclosure: I've only been aware of/playing T1/T2 for about two years, only knew about TN in January. I wouldn't call it 'going wrong', but it did sort of fall off the public radar. It might be the difficulty curve of learning everything there is in Tribes scared people away…

While the effort should perhaps be commended, it's superfluous and unnecessary. Goon Haven already has their own forums, and everyone else is already here.

Read the manual at ~/Manual/Tribes 2 Manual.pdf

Gimme some of that popcorn. *goes to find some comfy lawn chairs*

sage I wonder if The | Sniper has read any of his own posts before accusing others of immaturity.

Maybe he thinks that's where meat juices come from, like chicken broth et al.

The server list hosted by MaxOGC refreshes every few hours or so. Your server will have to be up long enough to be picked up by the refresh.
-
And also keep in mind, I don't think you can rename your account after it's been registered, but I'll let Thyth or someone confirm or deny that.

If there isn't one, you just have to make a folder named Audio and put the sounds in the proper file structure in there. For instance, the sound of the spinfusor firing is, by default, in audio.vl2. To replace it, you put a sound in its corresponding filepath, which is ~/GameData/base/audio/fx/weapons/spinfusor_fire.wav…
-
You mean replacing sounds? You can place a file with the same name as the sound you want to replace in its folder structure under /base/audio. If you open audio.vl2, that'll give you the names and paths for all the sound effects. I've tried replacing the chaingun effect myself, but found the sound I used was too long, so…

LAG! I was roaming!

And unbelievably useless. Even iPhone has a small screen, I'd like to see you cram as much information as you can get on full-sized T2 into that tiny screen, and any other phone's screen is even smaller. Then the issue of control. Where's the mouse? How are you even going to get WSAD functionality? Take a normal phone that…

I'll drink to that.

Puppies.

This was discussed in the IRC channel last night. Something about how the process actually closes is interpreted by Vista as a crash, though it is a successful close. For now the fix appears to be to just tell Vista to close it.

I found a video of AA gameplay. Looked like T2 but slower than base. Interface looked like crap too.

QUESTION ALL AUTHORITY! (but why?)
-
I've never seen a laptop that, if it didn't have a dedicated numpad, didn't integrate the numpad into the letter keys. Check your settings or manual to see how to get at them. Are you able to rebind the demo keys?
-
Yep, the DINPUT MOUSE box should do it, or you can go to ClientPrefs (pretty sure it's clientprefs) and set MouseEnabled to 1. [edit later with better information, this was just off the top of my head]

I personally use a jump/jet script mostly because my brain doesn't register "jump, then jet" fast enough when I need it the most. The only real advantage it gets me is I use a little less energy when navigating home base, and makes heavy defense marginally easier as a result (since they're SLOW). That's really it. For me…

Read the FAQs.

Chuck Norris once tried to roundhouse kick Billy Mays in the face. Before his foot left the ground, he was already on the first of his three easy payments of $19.95 That is all.

I was expecting you to put up a picture of a bunch of idiots. in before flame war over who would be in that picture
