so after the install issues were taken care of, I used my shiny new T2 shortcut to launch the game. standard t2 login screen appears. I type my shit in and after trying for some time, T2 reports it cant find the auth servers. im sure they are not down. and im pretty sure I should be using the standard shortcuts.

did I miss something about logging into tribesnext???

Try disabling your personal firewall/anti-virus or forwarding some ports.

If the patch installed successfully, it'll be... frankly, next to impossible to get the default login screens to show up without editing the files. Try re-installing it and check if it made a backup of console_start.cs in gamedata.
