"Your Game is not running the patched executable"

I just updated my Linux box's WINE to v1.2. It messed with something in my ~/.wine directory and now I can't connect to any servers or login. I had been happily using the rc1e patch with WINE and it worked just fine. (The rc2a patch doesn't work at all.)

Is the auth server blocking older patched systems? Is there any way to make rc2a work with WINE/Linux?

    I managed to backtrack and install wine 1.0.1 and it works again. Weird. Would be nice if latest TribesNext patch iteration worked with the latest WINE. Is this in the works?

    Yes it is, however, the going is really slow.
