CrossOver Mac Help

I'm currently running T2 on my MacBook Pro through BootCamp flawlessly with no problems and fps around 200. I've attempted a few times to run T2 through CrossOver and had very little success. I could join servers but once I got in game my fps dropped down to 10 which is unplayable. :-\

Any members here who have successfully run T2 through CrossOver have any tips to improve performance? I'm running T2 in Snow Leopard OS, latest version of CrossOver, RC1e patch and fresh installation of T2 with default settings.

I've also noticed when playing through CrossOver that there are lines (almost like grid lines) going through the terrain as if the graphics card is having some issues processing the terrains.

Any help would be much appreciated. Currently the only reason I have Windows XP installed is to run T2. Thanks!

    1. Actual weight varies by configuration and manufacturing process.
    2. Wireless Internet access requires a base station or other wireless access point and Internet access; fees may apply. Some ISPs are not currently compatible with AirPort.
    3. Memory available to Mac OS X may vary depending on graphics needs. Minimum graphics memory usage is 256MB. An additional 16MB is required when using an external display.
    4. 1GB=1 billion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.
    5. Testing conducted by Apple in October 2008 using preproduction 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo–based MacBook Pro units with a Better Battery Life setting. Battery life depends on configuration and use. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information. The wireless productivity test measures battery life by wirelessly browsing various websites and editing text in a word processing document with display brightness set to 50%.

    How's that for specs[/email]
  • That's good. The only real specification I needed out of there was the video card, which I can see is an nVidia GeForce 9 series.

Could you include a copy of your game graphical settings? Specifically, whether the game is running in D3D or OpenGL mode.
  • I'm running it in OpenGL and will include and can include a pic if you need it later.
  • Getting everything setup on Win7 via boot camp (iMac). If I have issues or solutions I'll post them here. I'll be in touch.

    Thanks for the great support!
