It seems the only thing you can do in classic is build and destroy blocks. It kept me entertained for 5 minutes. Unless there's something I'm missing...

That's it ...but in the full version you have a monster survival type game and it's kinda like a survival rpg game (you build your house , craft items etc.) .

But that's not free.

Anyone wanna split? It's $10, so the more people who share the less it costs.

i bought the full version and it is pretty engaging. plus, he's not even finished with the game, he takes a ton of community suggestions. and for price, it will be going up in price soon because it is getting a lot of attention. he's already made $1 million with the game and PayPal has frozen his account twice already i believe...

Meh, I just bought Garry's Mod yesterday for steam. It's fricking amazing! You can build stuff like in Minecraft but times 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Meh. Only thing you can do online is build objects with other people. Monsters don't spawn, and even if they did you're all invincible. This game is a cool "wow" game. It lasts for about an hour, then you realize there's nothing different to do.

All you can really do for fun is build objects. That's it. booooooooooooring. That's what GMod is for.
