Born Again Newbie

Hello folks, I'd just like to introduce myself to this community. I just recently learned about TribesNext and, since I was an old school Tribes player, thought it would be great to play again.

Problem is, though, it's been something like ten years. So I've been making an awful lot of mistakes. :D Teamkilling, friendly base mining, hopping into the tailgunner seat with a sniper loadout, things of that nature. I try to apologize in chat, but if you see me doing any of these stupid things (been playing on Goon Haven) please don't get all up in my ass! Once I got the basics re-learned I've been concentrating on one of my favorite old-time roles of field mechanic. Hanging around on base defense repairing everything I can reach. Still love flying the scout gravs though!

Same here. I am a fellow support/repair guy who doubles as a bombadier that just started playing again last week after a 7 year hiatus. Goon Haven seems to be where the party always is. ;)
Anyhoo, I actually played some of the training missions one afternoon so I could get reaquainted without annoying everyone. You could also jump on one of those servers that is all bots.
And of course, Welcome to T2.

Evenin' I've not played T2 since the dark ages of dial up
just downloading the game at the moment, I remember having to upgrade my PC to get T2 to work back in the day... sceptical if it'll play of this dodgy laptop? but theres only 1 way to find out ;D

just wondering does the download contain the full game including the 1 player section or is it just the multiplayer part in the download? Thinking i'll get the basics in 1 player before getting my arse handed to me online ::)

EDIT: it works ;D, but theres no chance im playing with my pad time to buy a mouse!
