  • Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 896MB ... only 1? You'll need 2 in SLI mode and you can possibly do 320x240 with shadows disabled.

...but seriously yes that will be more than enough to play this 8 year old game.
  • Weight 38 lbs.
Too heavy. Swap out unnecessary parts and reduce to 35 lbs.

I feel like a complete idiot. Good catch, Purest.
  • you might want you extend your warranty so that when you get crushed playing tribes and smash your tower you'll have something to fall back on.
  • Does anything other than indie games run in 320x240 anymore? It's almost getting hard to find 640x480 nowadays.

Switch the blue lighting for red; Tribes does not like the color blue. It makes it angry.

Seriously, that setup will be far more than enough to run this.
  • Looks like she'll do. If all you're looking for is a system to run Tribes 2 with, it's total overkill.

I don't think he's getting that... no parents are going to buy their 12 year old son a $2500 computer..

    Yeah...
  • Oh nevermind, I guess that one's just $999. Looks like he copy/pasted from here:

When the first gigabyte hard drive was released, I remember saying: "It'll take forever to manufacture a drive with 1 terabyte of storage capacity". Now I'd like to take this opportunity to say: "It'll take forever to manufacture a drive with one petabyte of storage capacity".

They're predicting by 2010-2011 for the first PB hard drive, and it'll cost $750
  • How are the masses going to fill such a space? Fibre optics where are you?!!!!
  • Robert's Law: no matter how large the hard drive, it will eventually be filled

There's a few exabytes of stuff on the net right now, iirc
