Well, if you take a look at the servers that do run map packs, you can't help but to notice that they are all ............ empty.

One thing to try is in the vid card driver control panel. For nvid cards it's called threaded optimisation. For ati cards, I can't remember what it is called. Try the switch enabled and disabled and see if there's an improvement.

you can also alter the load sequence of the scripts by renaming them or in the ini for support.vl2 sometimes this can make a difference

If you find an router option to place the server into a dmz, try that. Just make sure your server has a firewall up.
