Ah, thanks Krash. shll_fieldfill.png being 2x2 pixel prob doesn't need a @2x of that. Not having one fixes it tho. I thought for sure it was still doing it without the upscaled version. I posted what I was using. Do you think 1024x1024 low compression PNGs should be the target to prevent any hang ups in the thread?

Krash, we're playing around with AI upscaling for textures and 2x-4x file sizes get kind of big. Is there a maximum size a vl2 can be? Seems after 2gb it stops loading textures.

Something I think about sometimes not related to the patch but you have extra fonts anyway is if tribes2 had some concept of emojis 👍️

What are the chances we get this running on ARM? Tried on Odin 2 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen2 CPU), crashes tho, well, freezes but graphics crash, I can still hear the character moving around. I might try in proton-arm

Are you getting now what the server would deem 120fov by old standards for iff scope? If the server allows higher fov (player.cs 132) does the client see and allow higher iff scope? Ya, this is tough Wonder if a server-side pref maximum allowed iff scope would work? I guess that could be spoofed too

I do have a thing that brings up a special debrief with server info etc that is on a hard set timer when you first load in. Possibly client loaded in before that screen pops. Krash pointed me in the right direction to provide that the night it started acting up. I suggest doing whatever Krash recommends. What I distribute now has $IRCClient::state = IDIRC_CONNECTING_WAITING; and the Winsock DNS mempatch as Krash suggested and provided for us. Thanks Krash
