Bot Voice Unlock (Read README) Bot Skins (And more) (Bot skin is 8th post, read the README; also, you should download the 1.2GB file that holds ALL the skins almost ever made...) EDIT: Please note that the bot skins are the skins directly PULLED from the game. Hi Res Skin Installer:…

if the other clients have a skin file called 'a.lmale' then they will see that skin. Server's communicating skins are compared using their filenames, so having two skins that look the same, but have different filenames will not work correctly... I know there is a way to actually use the bot skins as is... it'll take me…

Interesting find!! EDIT: Got a link so I, and maybe others, could check it out?

in time, my friend, in time...

That's a feature they have added in. You cannot get around it. Sorry

It's not dead, it just that a lot of people here have jobs or school and other things to do.... patience is a virtue. People will answer when they have time. With the way the Tribes 2 engine is implemented, this is almost impossible to fix without upgrading the under lying engine. There are 'hi-res' skins but they don't…

Security.

There has to be a reason. And I'm guessing it has to do with how their engine is coded... but still, with this design flaw making games so exploitable should have thrown a red flag at Epic.

Is your router connected to a modem which is connected to the internet? If so, you need to port forward the ports on your modem, since I'm guessing it has a firewall built in. Also make sure that there are exceptions in any firewall that you have installed on the servers computer.
-
Use TracerECM to add them in. Please note that if the client does not have the wave file they will not hear it, and only you will. Some servers also limit voice chat to only the pre-defined bindings.
-
If the client has your skin 'installed' then they will be able to see it (If they allow custom skins). Downloading content from the server is something that will be in the next releases of the TribesNext client...

I've actually seen some people with speed hacks. It's insane but I think that's what happens when you use a well known game engine, people will know how to exploit them.
-
rofl I've been having this problem forever. I just got used to the sound. Helps me not get missle locked ;)
-
They were going to release it this December but it will be in Beta for a year now

I think I chortled.

Okay well I'm sure you get a lot of my messages from the reports.... XD

You need to write a book.

I'm sure that's a problem on your end. Make sure to delete all .cs.dso files in your /gamedata/ folder. Then install the mod, and then launch the tribes2.exe executable with the correct command line arguments (-online -mod Meltdown2) Usually when you try and launch a mod and it only runs base usually means that Tribes 2 is…
-
This usually happens because of various reasons.* First, install the mod by copying the mod files into a folder in the Gamedata/ folder (For this, probably a "construction" folder). * Than, delete all .cs.dso files from your gamedata/ folder and sub-folders (Please take note that some mods have a folder in them that says…

How is the game? Does it play like the Tribes series? Give us some insider info!

Are you and your friend playing on the same network?
-
Looks like you followed the FAQ. Are you behind another firewall that may be hindering the process? (Like being on a campus?)
-
To verify, have you installed the game using the Screenshot Walkthrough? Also, can you can a screen shot and upload it so we can see what 'step 3' you're stuck on. (Alt + PrtSc, paste into Paint, save, upload)

To clarify, in case anyone stumbles upon this error. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.lnk This is a shortcut link. To create a new shorcut that connects online, create a shortcut to Replace "C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe" with your correct path if Tribes 2 isn't installed in the defualt directory.
-
Stop it. .1 is appended to make sure there are no conflicts of names on the server. If this happens, the player that gets .1 appended to them is known as a Smurf. Usually (idk if Tribes Next has it implemented, but I'm sure it does), there player name should appear in purple in the in-game lobby.

This makes sense. I have look a little bit into the bots ai from my randomizer mod and from general mapping, and do know about their weights and tasks. The only thing is, being on realtime priority vs normal priority, the game shouldn't run any faster/slower (in regards to time, or simtime). So shouldn't the timed task…
-
But why is this? Just because you're giving the game more processing power/time which equals better AI combat? Is that why?
