Help for those with Windows Vista error on startup

Anyone ever get the error "Hardware is unable to switch to the specified mode"? Well I have and have no idea why I didn't post this for you guys before. To fix this all you have to do is change your screen depth to (Medium)16. Launch the game, close it, switch back to get good quality or not if your in for performance. Viola! The game works with no error.

I found a solution. It happened when I was trying to install it on my bro's laptop. I changed the desktop resolution to 800x600. Launched Tribes 2 with no problems. I changed the game resolution to the max for his laptop 1280x800. Saved, then switched the desktop resolution back to 1280x800. It starts up fine.
