Hey all,

I played T2 YEARS ago when it was first released and loved it. I quit playing and forgot all about it. I recently began lookin for a decent multiplayer game to play with some friends, and found this site. It can run on our shitty old PCs, and its free, woot!

My primary question is the stand alone game and the tribesnext patch all we need to play on most of the servers? Or are there extra map packs, etc that we would need to download?

The Game and TribesNext patch are all you need to get online to play, but having some of the added map packs wouldn't be a bad thing.

Most servers that run custom maps will run them out of the TWL or TWL2 map packs. They can be found below:

And for some really weird reason, the Branzone server is running the Cluster map pack which can be found here:

Thanks all for the help! I got mappacks and the game installed and started the tutorial last night. Was put off at how jittery the mouse seems, even after adjusting the sensitivity. Speaking of which, wasnt there a script, or w/e they are called, that would auto adjust mouse sensitivity when you got in and out of vehicles, to make them easier to pilot? If there was, and someone could point me to that, I would appreciate it!

That might be an affinity issue, which is addressed in the FAQs.
