Maybe I'm retarded

Hi sorry for probably asking a derpy question but I downloaded and installed the game, ran the patch, and I assume I need to start the tribes 2 online shortcut (the other one works).

double clicking it is says cannot find tribes2 exe, now I may be retarded but I have no ideea why it would do that


The search didnt do anything, neither did the FAQ section, so I need help.

I think you are on the right track with your diagnosis. =P

Right click on your shortcut and look at where it points.

"Target" should say something like:
C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online -mod Classic

Or if you want Base:
C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online

This all assumes that you installed on your C:\ drive in the default location.

Hmmm...Teratos, your post peaked my curiosity and I checked my target line. It is:

C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\SierraUp.exe

I thought it would end in something like TribesNext.somethingorother. My game runs fine, and has ever since I downloaded and installed again from the TN download. What are the machinations of this, if you please?

Thanks alot, that did it for me, but I never would have figured it out if you didn't give the target to me.

That should be added to FAQ's or something, so it would be one less problem people could face.
