I have the same issue. I have both the WAN address and LAN address favorited, and yet I still get disconnected from both addresses. Has anyone fixed this?

Both computers use the same account, which I hear is acceptable.

This could be because you might be using "base" rather than "classic".
Try to use Tribes 2 Classic by adding '-mod Classic' to the end of the parameters of whatever shortcut you are trying to launch.
