Improving your Tribes 2 bot support dramatically for CTF & Siege
Hello there, I posted this thread in regards to letting people know that yes TribesAI is 10 years + old and that it can and HAS been improved upon by the community - namely Lagg_alot (whose server is --- DESTRUCTION ZONE ---). I'll post details on things that you can download to improve your bot support if you wish to make playing offline a better prospect:

Put the files into your Tribes 2 (Dynamix) folder base, unzip there.
Community Patch for AI Support Final by ZOD (Released 2004):

Just to let you know, the Zod AI Base mod is not the same as the community patch one, the AI mod for the community script means that the bots act like dynamix bots in a tank i.e. they don't fire the motar turret. This is a FIX on it.
(NOTE: Backup your base/scripts.vl2 file and it MAY interfere with Lagg_Alots AI for his maps BUT will make all AI in most / all maps a whole lot better)
How to add MORE bots to your maps:
1. Open the console command in a game match (press: ` or ~ (left of the key: 1 and up of the key: tab) and then type in addbots:(amount); i.e. addbots(16); for 16 more bots.
2. If its not a dedicated server, ie player hosted. Its best to use aiconnectmultiple(24,0.99,0.99); this will add 24 bots. Should all be with dev names on it. Skills set to max.

addbots(amount) only made your server "invisible" if it went over 16 because the All Servers filter had a default max of 16 bots. Secondly, TribesNext doesn't have that 16 bot max on the all servers filter as far as I can tell.
In addition, depending on the map or gametype, the bots could run out of objectives, preferring to just stack up on other objectives. This tended to lead to seven bots standing on the flag, then wondering why they kept dying when they had to fend off an attacker with spinfusors.
I haven't run a server intended to show up on the server list yet, so I don't know what the effects of extra bots has on the listing.
Any reason why the community patch isn't streamed in as an 'official' TN update?
It's worth getting I think.
Where does one find Zod's AI Base mod?
I've never heard of Zod (or z0dd)'s AI Base mod...
I think little z is gone.
(10 maps with awesome bot support: bots are actually capable of using vehicles!)
but I still cannot find the "community patch"

every single one of them worth downloading... the bot support is pretty advanced, you can actually go for a bombing run with a bot-crew. They are cool for newbs practicing anyway..
