Hardly any. The only two servers with predictable patterns are SCP and the TAC2 server. "Snap Crackle Pub" tends to have a handful of people on during the day in my timezone (Eastern). "D/L Mod at tacmod.com" has a get-together every Friday night at around 10 or 11 PM Eastern and keeps going until everyone is done. The…

http://xfer1.the-construct.net/tribes2/ http://accm.the-construct.net/Downloads/Tribes%202/ I noticed you forgot a download to the original TWM: http://www.moddb.com/mods/total-warfare-mod-2-advanced-warfare/downloads/twm-classic-30 Attached to the post is a few server sided scripts usable with a specific version of TWM2…

It's still downloading the new client/server files which nobody has the prerequisites to run.
-
I never said you can't.
-
You buy the legal rights to use such a domain (and a corresponding DNS entry somewhere), Hi-Hez bought and owns "Tribes2.com" but not "Tribes-2.com". Furthermore Tribes2.com just redirects you to Global Agenda...

At this point I've stopped hoping and concluded it would just be better for someone else to just do it. (Because nothing else is ever going to happen with TN being all blackboxy)
-
Yes, it was just an idea as I remember having messed around with this in the past but this isn't exactly where my knowledge is as of now so I just figured I'd mention it.
-
Probably just better off picking up something like GLIntercept ... http://code.google.com/p/glintercept/ Directly calling OpenGL functions will prove fruitful in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing... First screenshot: What I happened to get at some point when trying to render a 3D triangle. A catastrophe.…

I've had the same problem but it's been on and off, pretty variable. It has been working fine for a while now and I'm under Chrome.
-
Just a random note but I did notice on a Windows 8 machine I had the same types of problems. Pretty much the same configuration I had back on XP software wise, anti-virus and all that. I copied the credentials over from my old machine and was able to log in after that but there very well was simply a problem with a…

There most likely was some output beforehand that I had not checked but I am currently checking to see if your solution is working. Edit: With your solution, I have been able to play for several hours without an issue.

I have not been able to run Tribes 2 in WINE at all for months, any version that even allowed Ruby to work properly. It merely locked up at some point in execution however I will look into this myself momentarily. Edit: On my LUbuntu 12.10 AMD64 machine, running WINE 1.5 it had indeed worked. Audio performed as it should…

Yea that will work. Haven't touched anything in a while so I couldn't quite remember offhand (and didn't feel like searching server.cs either)
-
Tribes 2 does that normally when the last person in the server leaves. I don't know if there's a way to disable it directly (I haven't touched the thing in forever) but adding at least one bot will prevent it. At least I think it will, that is. $Host::BotCount = 1; $Host::BotsEnabled = "1"; That should give you a bot. As…

There is a manual included with the game that gives you some pretty useful information, if you installed to the default location then it should be located at C:\Dynamix\Tribes 2\Manual\Tribes 2 Manual.pdf as that's where it is for my install right now. As far as vehicles, your keys you use to play without a vehicle maps…

It's trivial to build a custom DLL from Linker's Gift code that loads the original TribesNext patch after doing what it needs to do as well in order to provide any other types of functionality, but this introduces the risk of it being picked up as a virus of some sort so I'd just stick to that method until you can either…

Can't answer the server thing but as far as IE, I'm sitting on here with Google Chrome on Ubuntu 11.10 and all is well.
-
You find that type of behavior no matter what game you play. Call of Duty for example, certain weapons altogether were frowned upon (IE: "Noob Tube" -- the barrel mounted grenade launcher), why? If they think it's so overpowered or whatever else then they should go yell at the company that made the game, not the users. I…

I don't really like it because of how much the game changed from T2 -> Ascend (from information I've gotten from people), so I guess I'm just one that prefers the old way. But as far as how well it plays and whatnot, I can't provide much for that there (yay Linux!)

Here you go. http://www.mediafire.com/?qf43gs4mscm3w28 Took me a little bit to post on my fail internet connection. Also, that preview picture leaves the posting area (off of the screen) for me.

http://www.fileplanet.com/58995/50000/fileinfo/High-Resolution-Skin-Installer Found that when I googled it.
-
There are some skins at: http://dl.rawr32.net/textures/skins/ But, if we find someone that is dedicated enough, he/she could google their eyes out and put together a nice lil' collection of stuff. (I can find some now) Listing: http://sewingwitch.com/ken/tribes2.html - ScratchMonkey's Tribes 2 Resources…

I remember this problem. Something in my prefs caused it.
-
The kid with the headphones must be mental and looks like someone I know. The last person needs no comment.
-
I don't quite understand. Are you trying to 'hook' into the function?
-
It would help to promote T2 on other sites too. A few off the top of my head: www.moddb.com (Is there, just buried) www.cnet.com Also, someone needs to fix the training (Incredibally crappy) I got through in a half hour still not knowing much. (As a newb) Graphics upgrade anyone? I saw some high-def skins laying around…

There are some things here: http://dl.rawr32.net/

T2 needs more noob-friendly mods.
-
I like stats, but if it's a seperate program that hooks into T2, you might set off TN's anti-cheat system. A T2 script can be hacked, unless you give it out as a DSO. But someone with a decompiler (Thyth) can still tinker with it.
-
Your old account cannot be retrieved, it was on the official T2 server before it died. And for your other problem, be sure your firewalls/anti-virus programs are set to "Allow Access" for T2. (Including Wind0w's shitty built-in one)
