They're different languages, more or less, but use the same alphabet, ie, code. Opengl is usualy more efficient, speedier, but most game devs are doing d3d now because of m$. I love opengl for religious and political reasons, namely, most of it is not owned by m$. You know, you can replace explosions in opengl too.

You are correct in you estimation regarding dedicated servers. With vista being the os, and your need for a listen server with no net connection, my guess is this is all vistas fault. Any chance you could dual boot an xp install?

Well, I would try other vid card drivers, then again, I would just use a dedicated system to host and be done with it. What os are you running?

Delete all dso files, and try again. If your ispawn string is correct for the mod you wish to run you should be ok, but if construction mod added anything to your autoexec folder, that may cause issues with running classic.

My guess is theres a call being made by t2 networking to your net stack and if the stack's disabled you get the ue no matter if you want to play online or off.

A server can be connected wirelessly to a wan or lan and work just fine, if that's your question. All you need to do is make sure the router and/or firewall has the right ports open to pass traffic to and from the server. In a typical t2 server, that would be port 28000, with udp as the protocol.

Yeah for just a screenie, set the antialiasing to 4x, and the anisotropic filtering to 16x and take your screens. Just remember to reduce the filtering back to whatever you play games with.
