I don't warm up, I just suck all the time. 8)

Since I had trouble getting around heavy, I tried going middle-ground as medium (Bastard-style). I did better, but heavily relied on disc-jumping to avoid the angry defenders. I got completely pwned when I went indoors so... need a shield and mortar for that I think. :P It was hard to defend myself since I'm used to…

Go download GIMP, I don't know a whole lot about it since I use photoshop but it's a free alternative. Also search for Paint.NET. Microsoft Paint can't do transparency.

A long time player? You just registered TODAY.

I find that it is ESSENTIAL to know how to use a spinfusor, chaingun, and grenade launcher. The launcher seems to be the most useful when you're enemy's moving fast, yet on the ground (or about to land) and you're much higher up than he is. Don't know why, but hitting a blazing fast flag carrier with my spinfuser seems a…

Yup, I think it's all installed, just keep in mind that since I can't really practice it, I'll have absolutely no idea what I'm doing once I start playing. :P Also there's no guarantees that I'll be there, I'm hoping.

OK, here's the link, do whatever you're gonna do. http://www.fabriceroux.com/tribes/scripts.html

Wow, quadruple post. :P Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there a forum or something I should go to to report this, or do I just PM Thyth or what?
-
Oh, in that case I should take down that link.

No, it just said it would be less sensitive to mouse movement to get better aim. I'm not sure how useful that'd be anyway, not that I like sniping in the first place. I'm not sure if they're all there, but the bomber crew script might help you.

Thanks. :)

This looks like an interesting mod... if I can I'll try to be there next Friday (too late today, if only I'd seen it sooner...).

I say you just need practice. After playing for about half a year (off and on), I'm starting to get some MAs that aren't actually flukes. Only one or two per match, but it's certainly noticeable! Do it close range at first, all the time, otherwise use a chaingun or wait for your opponent to touch the ground.

I'm usually a light defender, but I won't hesitate to deploy some inventory stations if needed, and depending on the map I sometimes go for a cap. Obviously, I go for anyone who's taking the flag at full speed.

Yikes, mortar jumping? Shield pack included I hope.
-
After a little practice, I've made myself look like an idiot many times. ??? Once I killed myself by shooting myself with a disc and landing on a mine right by the flag. How bad I looked, I pretty much killed myself for them. ;D

Well I'll try out other packs, probably the energy pack is my best bet. Once I get the flag cloak's useless anyway. :( Sounds good. 8)

Thanks for the tips, I'll try it out again tomorrow. I also need to work on my jetpack management, my strategy was sneaking in with a cloak pack and snatching the flag with a disc jump. I was at about 3/4 energy, not very good, and I ended up using it all at the start of the jump. Practice makes perfect. Man I love this…

I guess I have a lot to learn, then. I'm not exactly doing it very effectively, I usually take a whole lot of damage and go a bit too far up making me think that this move wasn't very effective. I just wanted to know if this was very common, but I didn't think it would be "critically important".
