Sweet! It's cool to know that you guys are maintaining the site still, even down to updating it with a new logo. Color scheme is still nice too.
-
Yes, in fact there is a Discord bot to track in-game statuses of several servers. It's also the fastest way to organize PUBs and even PUGs on an occasion.

I know I'm a bit late to this, but don't listen to this guy. He has zero to offer toward anything. I'm saying this with the serious intention of allowing you the best possible development with the least friction. You will become tired of what he says and will realize that he simply will aggressively push ideas without…

Considering his previous actions, I'd wager the stupid side more than trolling. Though, if he's truly trolling then idk what there was to get out of the experience.

Honestly, Chocotaco's server is probably the better fit. Tribalwar is just a generic community that has a bunch of different focuses such as Starsiege, Tribes 2, EVE, Tribes Ascend. The Tribes 2 Discord actually focuses on Tribes 2 (and simply features a Midair section for people interested). The Discord also features a…

I've noticed that I sit between 50-60 FPS on my 970s in comparison to the previous 250-300 FPS. Looks great!

There's an issue with one of the servers in the browser. Refer to this thread here: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=3456.0

Thread that had the official notification to the community was here. Odds are if Thyth doesn't know when it will come back up then a lot is involved in getting it restored from even an older backup.

You cannot login because you are missing the files Krash mentioned. Additionally, your video shows that the authentication server is offline. The video I posted below can give you a general idea where to look for those file in your installation or an older one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh7iaEIOOmY

They just hit 100% funding two days ago, and, in addition, there is still two more weeks for the Kickstarter.

I'm on Windows 10 at the moment, and there aren't issues with it in comparison to when I had Windows 8.1/8/7. The closest thing I had to an issue was the Evolve client and that was fixed by entering the device manager and changing the MAC address to 0 when I needed it. I had no problem with my clean installation on this…

Thanks Thyth. Noted and backed up my *.store files to avoid the issue I had late June.

As far as your idea for the approved IP addresses to connect, I heard on SCP a while back about something in server.cs... I dug through the script and found the GameConnection::onConnect function, which may or may not aid you in your endeavors. I'm not too knowledgeable in TS or TGE and its capabilities, nor Tribes 2's…

I never said that this was relevant to the question of rights to distribute your creations. I feel it that it be rather obvious that anything that is yours would basically mean you get distribute it how you feel best to distribute it... regardless of reasoning. All I said was that the network communication between the…

But that's different because it's the underlying system for the networking to your site, is it not? It's that circumstance where keeping source behind closed doors benefits the community rather than hurt it.

It's not the age of anything. There's proprietary and there's open source. The only exception is probably the recent "Mojang-Microsoft Crisis" that the entire Minecraft community has had to deal with where someone slamming the project that they worked on with a DMCA Notice and has resulted in almost anything in Minecraft's…

Dedicated on both Windows 7 and 8.1 setup to run on port 28000, which was open.
-
Let me see what I can come up with later today. EDIT: Worked for me... connected and played a little.
-
Someone doesn't like open source it appears. It's a shame that when people left Tribes, they didn't just make their code a free-for-all so if someone wanted the mod, they could have it and tweak it to their likings. Honestly, there's no need to not provide the source for the mod if it's not proprietary. I could understand…

Because I have come to live with Anti-Aliasing, as some others do too. What specific reason has left you to leave it disabled? But anyways... glad to see you back at the pub.
-
Sweet to see you back on the Pub man. Wish I was there to get a few MAs, but my life's getting increasingly busy. ¿Anti-Aliasing por favor?
-
Yeah, I went through each SLI mode and no dice. Each either tears terribly or the screen spazzes too much to even understand what I'm doing.
-
That's also a possibility. I'd try if I knew the map... but I don't, and I physically can't at the moment because I need to reinstall Tribes 2 thanks to Windows Update.
-
Well, I asked him again today, it was given last rites and hammered into the great super computer in the sky. Graveyard: The local dump. Scratch that off the list, I guess it's back to drawing board on this one.
-
So I've talked to my father and it seems his old 30GB Windows 2000 hard drive is still intact, so I may dig through it later to see if it is available. EDIT: So it appears that with all of the new computers in the house, not one has an IDE compatible motherboard.
-
Yeah, I can agree about the onboard audio drivers... I've moved over to the HDMI audio that comes with my Graphics card. Noticeable difference.
-
Is there anything conflicting with the external IP, like Hamachi? I had Hamachi a few month's back so my friend could host a local server rather than hop on my server and it created issues with Tribes, Battlefield... I didn't think it had anything to do with the other, it may have to do with components installed rather…

Hi chipi99, Regarding your question towards the location of Lagg_Alot's Bot maps, you'll want to head over to Tribal Outpost to download the map you are looking for. Just enter the map's name into the search bar and look for the maps submitted by Lagg_Alot himself.

From what I was told, It WAS supposed to be a joke and Coffee Script Studios actually decided to write the game in Unity and pitched it to Valve. April 1st came and there was a legitimate game. Bugfixes provided for only bugs that resulted in crashes because everything else is funny.

lol, kind of wish it was a twinkie. Side note: Uber Twinkie Smackdown should be Steam's April Fools/Joke Game that they publish next year, kind of like the Goat Simulator Coffee Stain Studios made and had published on April Fools.
