Uhh that's probably why it's a POLL instead of an outright question.

None of the Goon Haven servers run base (even tsw is derived from classic).

I sense contradiction. Figure out what you're trying to do first.

I understand the syntax of torquescript, but I don't know many of the callbacks and Tribes 2 scripting API very well.

Don't put the port in the bind address. Futher, the $Host part only applies if you're hosting, and it's used if you have multiple addresses on your computer through which clients can connect. In short, $Host::BindAddress is the wrong variable for your problem.

Have you tried changing Team3 objects to Team0?

I heard WAR 2003 is a ripoff of some other mod.
-
Tribes 2 also loads VL2 files in alphabetical order, so files in archives at the end alphabetically will override those that are further to the beginning.
-
When Tribes 2 was new (2001), some Radeon chips didn't do well in OpenGL mode (IIRC Radeon.cs defaulted to disabling OpenGL), so maybe you were affected by that.

If the rendering API chosen in game is Direct3D, you might try switching it over to OpenGL. If it's already in OpenGL, find or add this line to base/prefs/clientPrefs.cs: $pref::TS::UseTriangles = "1";

Use Wine again, like I do on my shell server (Glasnost :: Tribes 2). Speaking of which, with some tinkering, I got the client to work in Wine. Unfortunately, the client tends to lock up my box occasionally while playing, so I can't test it extensively. What I DID test, however, was server listing and in-game IRC, both of…

That assumes Digg was any good in the first place.

What we're trying to say is: if you don't know what winzip is (and why other programs are superior), then you probably won't figure out how to script things. Keen was telling you to look for winzip using a search engine such as Google. We can't hold your hand, bub.

Spoiler: I didn't find this mythical pack you're talking about, so I edited the textures myself. It's a bit time consuming (takes about an hour to do all the textures I've found so far), but at least most of it is automated, and the resulting vl2 is only about 56MB.

Here's a whole directory of images.

Here's another.

Here is my contribution to the thread.

Aimbots aren't one of them.

Glasnost :: Tribes 2 (the server I run) runs strictly base. Does that count?

Caching would more likely be if the game loaded most of the graphics assets into system RAM but not necessarily into video RAM. If what you described is actually happening, that wouldn't be caching. FIlemon could probably confirm on-the-fly data loading from disk, but of course it would be quite useless if it's in RAM…
