Since no one else responded, I'm taking it as confirmed. NO OFFICIAL LOGOs. Someone come up with some logos and ads that don't include the T2 symbols, except maybe on armors. Anyone? Can even just be some nicely cut screenshots of player skins.

Yes, it's a joke. Malaysian RPGs tend to have so much flashy stuff, pretty pictures, and ridiculous amounts of eye-candy, but in-game it's usually the same as any other RPG, and usually very pitiful, and completely NOT as advertised. TribesNext is great looking from the art and in-game quality... flashy inside and out, but…

Well actually, considering it's the only significantly active server, and that he'd likely get banned on Goon's forums for saying this stuff, this might be the only vent he's got. This post might also encourage someone to start a good server alternative to Goon's, or at least suggest one that already exists and is being…

Have a main "News" tab on this site that lists the most downloaded maps and map packs, as well as scripts and skins, and of course, actual news (usually stagnant, so stuff it at the bottom in a corner). Cool and nice in-game videos and screenshots should be featured up-front as well. Mod info, videos, and screenies…

Haha! I wish, but no. You'll suffer again soon enough, just wait your turn.

Yes, we can only hope each new wine version will help more than it'll break. Hear, hear! :D Likewise, though I'm not usually so free. It still amazes me :o , as I've been wishing for a true Tribes 2 remake since long, and here it is, as Legends! :D ;D But I'm wondering if it would be okay to take what was left over from…

I'm sorry but it doesn't work for me. After installing Tribes 2 with the Tribes Next RC2a patch, I had to alternate between installations of wine-1.1.11 and wine-1.2-rc5, and I found that I can ONLY log in online with wine-1.1.11. Whenever I try to log in with wine-1.2-rc5, I get that the password is incorrect and to check…

Hail Turkeh! ;) :D And here's the Linux part of that, when you have the chance: http://www.tribesnext.com/forum/index.php?topic=1679

Actually, I found that to be true too. Whenever I'm in or near a tank, there's an increased chance of UEs. They may also be associated with mortars or "splash" damage, as I've gotten plenty of UEs from mortar explosions and the shock-cannon in Renegades mod. Also, certain maps tend to give more UEs than others, such as…

Finding a dso-cleaner seems a pretty frequent request. I someone willing to put a list of all known ones in the FAQ if I collect them from all the forum and all links and pm them?

Ah, I see. In that case, the least I can do is test if I can Create a new account. So I did... I got all the way through Step Three of the process. On pushing the [Finish] button at Creating a new account, the game and mouse freeze up -> *Terminal: err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 816 bytes in thread 001e eip…

Sorry about not putting the most important part: the wine version. For the test I tried above, I used wine-1.2-rc1, because theoretically (and I've sometimes found to be true) wine-1.2 is much more compatible with programs. However, it seems Tribes 2 is stuck at older versions of wine. I got through the log-in just fine…

I've been trying to test the patch on Linux, but I can't get any farther than the log-in screen for online. When I try to log in, it says my log in name or password was incorrect. Even after having someone else make a new account for me, the same result. I checked and rechecked several times over that everything was…

You ought to read the previous page of this thread, but here's a summary: Only certain older versions of wine work atm, like: wine 1.1.11 wine 1.0.1 Newer versions seem to get a log-in "invalid patch" problem. Thyth said how he'll eventually fix it, with a separate linux version of the TribesNext patch. Also, make sure…

Hmm, you must mean Celsius or Fahrenheit average room temperature: 20 to 25 C ; 68 to 77 F . Cuz in Kelvin, it's WAAY too high: 293.15 to 298.15 K. Just a note. There's also temperature in Rankine (~519 Ra), Delisle (~128 D), Newton (~5 N), Reaumur (~12 R), Romer (~15 Ro). These last three are the best in this case. (Yes,…

You have to be taught that? I just use logic (true sophism) and I can pretty much argue for anything and either side... yes even for world-wide eradication of dolphins and coral reef (I already have plenty against coral reef...). And reality that we know is just made and defined by society, just as the globe we see is…

What ever happened to Freedom of Speech!? Why can't I say "I think you're a weenie!" or "I think you look like a girl." This isn't defaming you, it's expressing my opinion about you. In these, I'm not expressing that you are terrible at coding, or underestimating your competence. Even if I were to say "I think you suck at…

Holy mother of yogurt! That's a guy!? That's one hell of a disguise! No facial hair, round feminine face, purple and violet coat, and a rat dog that so many air head girls somehow love (like pet, like owner). Now all you need to do is learn how to Free Run, creep quietly, use ninja swords, and throw ninja stars and you'd…

Yeah that works too, just it still should be in the same directory or any mods will be deleted, of course. Hmmm... well, I use Slackware, and I have no sound problems, but you should set sound in wine to ALSA, if it's not already. Other than that, I think the only problem might be in the new version of Ubuntu itself.

My LOGICAL replies...no offense: 1) I can see you have just about never really played on defense. It is living hell trying to defend even a single turret of any type. Mortars usually have a tiny advantage of slightly longer range, but they're certainly in no way even near invincible. They're actually pretty easy to take…

For linux, you can do it pretty easy with 7zip, and for that matter, you can use 7zip on Windows too, and it doesn't cost a thing, and can compress even smaller than .rar's. Anyway, the instructions: Make a set of directories to the desired destination. For instance, for the Superman skins:…

The populations have dropped even more, I think. I say, the only way to complete this mod quickly and in fact possibly keep Tribes 2/Next from going under, is to release all the data open source, and I encourage all other mods to do so too. So what if nobody else is releasing their source code... that's the whole point!:…

Dang, I need some of the other .cs files cuz it's not currently included in the inventory of the Engineer or any (this is one of the many reasons I'm pushing for open source... so what if anyone steals it... maybe they'll make a better mod and keep Tribes 2 from disappearing altogether, or maybe even improve this mod, as…

Try in the Scripts tab at the bottom while running the game. I think you can configure it there. If not, you'll have to do it manually by opening the script with any text program. Heck, it might be in controls for all I know.

Well, right now, the Razor reloads 12 seconds after firing no matter what (whether the disk returns to you before that or not, or you fire another). Due to the limitations of the game or engine, it cannot return automatically in some cases. This essentially produces a "juggling" effect if timed right... you can fire LOTS…

I don't have much time right now to look too much into it, I'll see tomorrow or the next day, but I don't even remember quite how the airfield deployed. Was the line from the beacon to the shield always parallel to the z-axis (I think it was more this way) or just perpendicular to the ground? Plus, I think I might need to…

4TR3X, I'm sorry to say that due to the limited capabilities of this game (or maybe just the game engine), there is no effective way to make it reload properly. I HAVE made it reload, just you can do some amazing things as well. I'll explain in a PM to you.

I think putting "(LINUX)" or "(LINUX TOO)" in after the title Known Issues, might help reduce the number of Linux/Wine questions. It's just very few popular games even want anything to do with Linux, much less have posted support, and of course, most ppl are too un-used to searching or just too lazy. Just a consideration.

Oh... bots reminded me of something I accidentally crashed a ninja server with long ago... I dragged a decoy of myself into a vehicle (I think only for pilot's seat though)... that instantly crashed the server. Just a side note to keep in mind whenever making the decoy pack. And about the Razor... well, from my brother's…
